Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Kortney Mathiesen, Au.D., is devoted to helping people connect with their friends and family through better hearing. She knows that untreated hearing loss contributes to social isolation, and she is grateful for the ability to give others a chance to enjoy the things they’ve been missing by utilizing the “Best Practices” model. She partners with her patients from first exam to fitting, verifying that their hearing aids are perfectly fit to their unique needs, and then validating their performance at each subsequent visit.

When she’s not working, Dr. Mathiesen loves spending time with her friends and family, and her Australian shepherd, Mayzie. She loves to ski and enjoys the many wonderful outdoor activities that Nevada County has to offer.

After earning her Doctor of Audiology degree from Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon, Dr. Mathiesen returned to serve the community she grew up in. There, she never gets tired of the thrill and the joy of witnessing her patients improve their hearing in as little as one appointment.
